What a wonderful day to celebrate! I loved Rice Krispies growing up. I would eat the per-packaged ones for lunch or as a late night snack. Making them was also a blast because you could eat them while they were still a little warm. Here is the recipe I always used to make my homemade treats. It’s simple and easy. Enjoy!
3 tablespoons butter
4 cups Miniature Marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
- Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
- Using a spatula evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.
